Land Measurement at Changunarayan Municipality, Bhaktapur
At Changunarayan Municipality, I measured a land area of approximately 8 Ropani using traditional tools such as measuring tape and rope. The area was divided into six distinct parcels through careful planning and field assessment.
Monumentation was performed using wooden pegs and ropes to mark parcel boundaries physically. The process allowed for visible and accurate delineation, ensuring clarity for landowners and local authorities involved in land management.
Measurement of a Developed Property using Tape and EDM
In another instance, I measured a land parcel that had a residential building already constructed. This task required more precision and speed, so I employed a combination of tape and a Laser Distance Meter (EDM).
The tape was used for direct access lines and shorter measurements, while the EDM was vital for corners, diagonal spans, and inaccessible parts due to the structure. This mixed-method approach ensured accurate boundary data for both the building footprint and the remaining open land.
